Singing Settle Carlisle

December 3 

Join singers from several community choirs at Ribblehead Station, on the Settle Carlisle trains and in the Station Inn.  Meeting at 12noon outside the station for warm up and singing, then 12:20 train to Settle for an afternoon with lunch and singing under the Christmas tree and in the Sation. Then the 4:20 train back to Ribblehead for singing in the station, and 5:30pm singing  and festive supper in the Station Inn. 

 Singing folk carols and seasonal songs round the fire in our riverbank cottage at Farfield Mill Arts and Heritage Centre near Sedbergh - with a short concert inside the Mill under the Christmas tree, mulled wine, mince pies, and roast chestnuts. We may also enjoy a short singing walk along the banks of the river Clough. 10am-4pm

Dent Folk Carols weekend

 in the ancient Yorkshire Dales village of Dent, with carols from all the ages and from other countries - singing suppers, cosy cottage accommodation in the village, and all meals, workshops, concert, pub singing, singing walk etc. Come by train to Dent Station, or let us help you arrange a lift share. Concert on Friday night £10, non-residential weekend ticket with meals £125, everything including 3 nights accommodation and all meals £225.

Pub Carols at the Gregson 

Join Lakeland Voices community choir in the bar at the Gregson community centre in Lancaster at 6pm, singing well known pub carols, folk carols and season songs - all to join in with. Words and scores if requested can be sent in advance - or you can come to our pub carols workshops in Low Bentham Church on November 8 at 2pm, the Gregson on November 15 at 10am, and in the Dent Meditation Centre 10am on December 6 and 7. There is a fee for the workshops to cover our costs, but the singing in the pub is free.

Buttermere Singing & Hillwalking

Join us singing together in Buttermere with walks suitable for everyone (and an option for more challenging walks too.) With 3 nights accommodation, all meals, parking outside the hostel. Liftshares can be arranged, songs sent in advance, local homestays if needed before and after, flexible programme, special diets catered for. Starts 4pm Friday - ends with singing  in village hall on Monday from 10am, and optional walk round the lake with the Black Sail singers en route to their mountain retreat. Join us singing in the Lake District's highest mountain, in its most iconic and remote hostel, which can only be reached by walking 5 miles over the fells from Buttermere with our packs. We will also enjoy walks and singing on the tops of the surrounding mountains which are often covered in snow at this time of year. Starts in Buttermere village hall at 10am with singing. Then walking round the lake with a picnic en route, and over the Scarth Gap pass to Ennerdale. Free parking in Buttermere where we will end at 5pm on Wednesday January 14. Cost is £195

Singing Slovenia in Sedbergh

 if you've sung our Slovenian songs before - either in our local choirs or on our visits to Slovenia - and would like to revise them, come and sing them in Sedbergh with like minded people who love this beautiful country (including those who are going there on the train on May 19 and other singers from Slovenia who are visiting here.) Sedbergh is celebrating it's 21st year of twinning with Zreče, Slovenia with a visit from the good people of Zreče.

Lighthouse singing weekend

Lighthouse Singing in Whitley Bay  with salty songs of the sea and a few fishy tales. Supper on Friday evening and lunch on Saturday and Sunday provided in the lighthouse. Starts 6pm Friday evening while the causeway is uncovered, then enjoying the "Stranding" on Saturday and Sunday. Accommodation not included (available in Whitley Bay) £129

A weekend of harmony singing on the small holding of Anne and Natasha Hood near the sea in North Norfolk. If the event costs less than £50 you don't pay a deposit - you pay the full amount. Your payment can be sent via online banking - the bank details will be sent by email. If you cancel more than 6 months before the event, there is a full refund - after that we reserve the right to keep your deposit. The deadline for paying the balance is 6 weeks before the event  - after that we reserve the right to keep your full payment as it is often hard to find a replacement. 

If you find someone to take your place they are most welcome to join us and they can pay you the cost of your booking. If we find someone to take your place, we reserve the right to keep your deposit to cover our admin costs.
